Further development may be supported through the Integration & Mentoring Pathway before progressing to diploma-level study. Overview A professional training pathway for those wishing to safely and confidently facilitate sound bath sessions within a clear and responsible scope of practice. This training supports the development of awareness, practical skill, and confidence to hold sound-based group sessions grounded in listening, context, and participant experience. Rather than focusing on performance or fixed techniques, the emphasis is on how sound is held, shaped, and responded to within a group setting. Attention is given to pacing, environment, and variation in participant response, alongside the practical application of sound within facilitated sessions. Who This Training Is For This diploma is suited to those who: Feel drawn to facilitating sound-based group sessions Are interested in developing a responsible and grounded approach to sound practice Are willing to engage in a reflective and applied learning process Value awareness, sensitivity, and ethical responsibility in how sound is offered This training may be undertaken as a standalone professional pathway, or alongside an existing role or area of practice. No prior musical experience is required. What You Will Learn This training includes: How to facilitate and hold group sound sessions Structuring and pacing a sound bath session Working with instruments to support atmosphere, rhythm, and response Understanding participant experience and variation in response Awareness of safety, boundaries, and appropriate scope of practice Developing presence and confidence in group facilitation While this training focuses on group facilitation, some principles may also be applied within one-to-one contexts, where appropriate. Approach This training is grounded in: Listening-led practice Awareness of context and environment Sensitivity to participant experience Ethical and responsible facilitation Sound baths are approached as relational and contextual experiences, rather than fixed formats or performances. Training Format This diploma is delivered as: Small group, in-person training Or live online where appropriate Supported by guided practice and reflective learning Further details are provided upon application. Professional Scope This training supports practitioners to offer sound bath sessions within an appropriate and clearly defined scope. It does not train participants in therapeutic or clinical sound intervention. Participants are responsible for working within their own professional boundaries and insurance requirements. Entry and Readiness This training is open to those who feel drawn to working with sound in group settings and are willing to engage in a responsible and reflective learning process. It may be particularly suited to those who: Are interested in facilitating sound bath or group sound sessions Already work in a wellbeing, educational, or facilitative context Are developing an interest in sound as part of their existing practice Value awareness, responsibility, and sensitivity in how sound is offered No prior musical experience is required. Working One-to-One with Sound While this training focuses on group facilitation, some practitioners may also wish to explore working with sound in one-to-one settings. One-to-one sound practice is supported through practitioner mentoring, drawing from the Therapeutic Sound Practice Diploma where appropriate. This allows for a more responsive and individually guided approach, shaped by professional context, readiness, and scope of practice.
