The Straight Up Peterson tobacco sample bag contains 8 of Petersons classic blends: Peterson Early Morning Pipe As the name implies a good bowl to begin the day, A mild to medium blend that includes bright and red Virginias and Oriental leaf with not too much Latakia, just enough to wake the taste buds for the day ahead. Easy on the palete, this ribbon cut mixture is smooth, tasty, and the perfect companion to that first tea or coffee of the day. Peterson Nightcap The last smoke of the evening, and one that's full bodied with plenty of character. A generous amount of Latakia with the addition of some Turkish and Virginias ensure that this is a punchy blend. This Latakia heavy mixture is legendary amongst pipe smokers. Peterson Standard Mixture Latakia, Orientals and Virginia with some Perique, all blended to produce a classic medium English mixture. Woody and smokey, ribbon cut for quick packing, this is a popular easy burning all day smoke, great for those who like this style of tobacco. Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls Dark fired Virginias with Louisiana Perique, made into a rope, that's pressed and steamed, and then cut into coin sized slices, or rolls, often called a roll cake. There's no Latakia here, this is a natural tobacco blend with natural flavours and sweetness coming from the choice of leaf. Medium in strength and taste, a great no nonsense blend that ages beautifully. Peterson My Mixture 965 A full bodied English mixture that's rich and smokey. A blend of Virginias, Brown Cavendish and Latakia leaf, ribbon cut for easy packing and lighting, make this a standout mixture. Woody and nutty characteristics with natural sweetness produce a satisfying smoke that doesn't go too over the top. A good place to start an English experience. Peterson University Flake A Virginia and Burley blend with the addition of a plum dressing that's just enough to lift the blend. A pressed dark brown flake that rubs out easily and lights without bother. The subtle plum essence adds to the natural sweetness of the Virginias, the Burley provides a certain nutty flavour, that rounds off the blend. Medium to strong with a nice hit of nicotine, definetly a good all-day smoke. Peterson Balkan Mixture One for the established pipe man. A full on Latakia experience, enhanced with the addition of Virginias and Louisiana Perique, this is a well liked blend. Smokey and woody, the Perique adds some spice and the Virginias offer natural sweetness. Medium to full strength with a nice smooth flavour. Peterson Elizabethan Mixture A medium bodied mixture of bright and dark fired Virginias with a good amount of Perique. A natural smoke with the Perique providing tangy spicy notes, and the Virginias bringing hay and citrus tones, which all balance out nicely. Easy to pack and light with a steady burn, but take it slowly to enjoy the experience.
