The following Active Shooter Response Training for Healthcare Providers is designed to educate healthcare providers (HCP) on key active shooter response principles, including recognizing danger, communicating information, securing a location, evacuating when safe, and taking last-resort protective action if escape is not possible. What you will learn: How to recognize signs of danger Techniques for securing a location How to continuously share information about a shooter's location and behavior Strategies to distract the shooter if evacuation is not possible The best practices for safely evacuating the area How to make quick decisions during an active shooter event Basic first aid skills Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training.
