Jimi Hendrix Archival Print on Metal

Brenda describes “Jimi Hendrix” as a break through piece for her art. To honor the 50 year anniversary of Woodstock and its headlining artist, Brenda created this piece during August and September of 2019, fifty years from the actual date of the concert. The material used for his jacket is a vintage 1960’s wallpaper resembling a rockstar quality Gucci fabric. His skin and hair contain hidden messages that highlight the era. The majority of materials used to create this piece are circa 1969 and older.
