Vintage 'Brabante' vase by Bořek Šípek for Driade made in Italy 1993. Renowned as the "poet of glass," Bořek Šípek (1949-2016) redefined the Driade aesthetic by merging avant-garde architecture with a sensual, neo-baroque spirit. The 'Brabante' vase features hand painted / enameled porcelain body with spiked rim, conical base and carved rosewood lattice detail that allows the vase to rest at an angle. The porcelain body is separate from the lattice detail allowing for movement. Stamped on interior rim. In excellent condition showing minimal wear. An exceptional and rare example of Šípek's work.
