Smith Gas Axe Cutting Torch - 72 inch - Extra Heavy Duty SC960 Series
Smith™ Gas Axe™ Cutting Torch - 72 inch - Extra Heavy Duty SC960 Series Genuine Smith™ Gas Axe™ SC960 series cutting torches are 72 inch long, extra heavy-duty oxy/fuel cutting torches that cut up to 20" (508mm) steel with OPTIONAL tips. They are available in three torch head angle configurations. Model SC969 has a 90 degree torch head, the SC965 has a 75 degree torch head and the SC960 has a 180 degree torch head. SC960 series cutting torches feature a heavy wall manganese bronze head that is extremely durable and will resist heat warping. They are ideal for scrap yards and demolition applications. The reversible cutting lever allows operator to choose from top lever or bottom lever mounting position. The torch features stainless steel three tube construction and ease-on oxygen for smooth starts. Features In-tip gas mixing Ensures lowest amount of mixed gas in the system. Sustained backfire can be isolated in the tip, helping protect the operator and the torch. Slip-in tip design No wrench is needed, allowing for quick and easy tip changes. Ease-on cutting oxygen Provides exceptionally smooth application of cutting oxygen, reducing keyholing and slag blowback without sacrificing extremely high cutting capacity. Reversible cutting lever Top or bottom mount lever for ease of use. Adjustable valve resistance PTFE packing provides a gas-tight seal while allowing the “drag” to be adjusted to the individual preference. Stainless steel ball-style valves Provide smooth adjustment and positive seating to eliminate leaks. Three-tube construction Keeps gases separate in the cutting attachment until mixed at the tip for safety. Replaceable hose connections Are easily replaced if damaged, reducing maintenance costs.
