I'll see you in the morning, 2026
I'll see you in the morning, 2026 Acrylic on canvas, 80x60 cm From the series “Where Is My Home?” Edges painted Wired and ready to hang This painting is part of the series “Where Is My Home?”, a collection exploring the idea that home is not always a physical place. The series began after a period of change in my life when I moved away from my home country and started building a life somewhere new. That experience made me reflect on how the meaning of home can shift over time. Around the world, many people are forced to leave the places they once called home. Wars and conflicts destroy spaces that families have spent years building and sometimes people are never able to return. In moments like these, home becomes something more than a location. For me, home has gradually become a quieter and more internal feeling, a sense of belonging and calm that can exist even when surroundings change. Each painting in this series begins with a warm base layer and develops slowly through multiple layers of colour and movement. The process reflects the way we build our understanding of home through memories, relationships, and experiences. This work is one part of that ongoing exploration.
