Genuine vintage Japanese kimono. This is called a HAORI. One-of-a-kind-vintage. There are two types of Japanese kimonos traditionally worn in the summer: "ro" and "sha." Both are made of silk. (Some recent ones have synthetic fibers. ) Kimono fabrics of "ro" and "sha" are sheer and beautiful. This fabric is "sha." It features a beautiful transparent material. In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but during the Meiji era (1868–1912), ordinary people were also permitted to use them. This haori family crest is called 「丸に二つ引き(まるにふたつびき / Maruni-futatsubiki)」. Maruni-futatsubiki is a traditional Japanese family crest featuring two horizontal lines enclosed within a circle. The simple geometric design symbolizes balance, order, and continuity, reflecting the refined minimalism characteristic of Japanese heraldic motifs.
