Scarpa Drago LV - Climbing shoe
The Scarpa Drago LV is a soft, low-volume climbing shoe designed for sensitivity, precision and aggressive hooking. It has an asymmetrical, downturned shape with a medium-to-high angled toe box, giving strong toe sensitivity on steep terrain and modern indoor holds. Compared to stiffer performance shoes, the Drago LV gives much more feedback through the foot, making it especially strong for smearing, volumes, toe hooks and technical body positioning. The LV version is built for climbers with a lower-volume or narrower foot shape. What this solves Some aggressive shoes are powerful, but too stiff or bulky for precise modern climbing. The Drago LV solves this by staying extremely flexible and sensitive. It lets you feel small changes in pressure, adapt your foot to the hold, and use rubber contact more actively on steep or technical moves. How this solves it The shoe uses Scarpa’s PCB-Tension system, which preserves the downturned shape while keeping the shoe highly flexible. The SRT system adds M50 rubber over the toe area, improving toe-hooking performance and increasing rubber contact on steep terrain. A minimal 1 mm Flexan insert gives just enough structure while keeping the toe area very sensitive. Why this shoe The Drago LV combines: a soft, highly sensitive construction low-volume fit for narrower feet aggressive downturned shape strong toe sensitivity extensive toe and heel rubber coverage Vibram® XS Grip 2 for friction and responsiveness This makes it one of Scarpa’s best shoes for modern bouldering and indoor climbing, especially when foot sensitivity and hooking matter more than stiff edging support. Best for Advanced climbers A strong choice if you want a softer shoe for steep bouldering, indoor climbing and technical movement. Expert climbers Ideal when sensitivity, body tension, smearing and hooking performance are more important than pure support. Narrow or low-volume feet The LV shape is designed for climbers who need a tighter, lower-volume performance fit. Not ideal for Beginner climbers who still need comfort, durability and support. Climbers with wide or high-volume feet. Long multi-pitch routes or long outdoor sessions where comfort and structure matter more. Climbers who mainly stand on tiny outdoor edges and prefer a stiffer shoe.
