I'm thrilled by it! Duane Maktima is a contemporary jeweler of Laguna and Hopi descent. He handmade this impressive pair of dangle earrings in a eye-catching design. The top portion of each earring is a cabochon of natural turquoise set in gold. The bottom dangle portion is a sterling silver swirling motif you might find on Hopi pottery. Another fantastic element to these earrings is that the turquoise is in two distinct shades. It's from the same mine but because it's natural, it has changed color over time. This creates a lovely effect. This pair of earrings was a sought-after item in Turquoise & Tufa's 2024 annual catalog.
