2026 New Zealand Warriors Adults Players Kotahitanga Short

Kotahitanga is a Māori concept meaning oneness, unity and togetherness. It emphasises collective action, solidarity, and shared purpose to achieve common goals. Designed by former Warrior #151 and Kiwi international Lewi Brown, the jersey carries a deeply personal connection. Born and raised in Christchurch and a product of the Riccarton Knights, Brown understands the importance of regional identity and what the Warriors mean to communities across the country. Having represented both the Warriors and New Zealand on the international stage, his design reflects not only the pride of the Warriors, but Aotearoa as a whole. The design is an updated interpretation of the jersey first worn by the Warriors in 2001 upon changing their name from ‘Auckland’ to ‘New Zealand’ Warriors. It represents the welcoming nature of the Club, highlighting that the Warriors club is for all of New Zealand and not just Auckland. Colours for this Kotahitanga range have been interpretated to include more red and black than the original. This theme resulting in a pallet which honours not only the Warriors history but also that of Canterbury and Christchurch.
