Dalikamata, Goddess of the Eyes Print
✷ All orders are shipped once a month, at the end of the month ✷ Artist Description: "Dalikamata, Goddess of the Eyes" is a Visayan goddess known to see the past, present, and future. Using her 1000 eyes to watch over humanity, she sheds tears for those who commit any wrongdoings. It's said that her tears are the morning dew found in nature, and the babaylans (Filipino shamans) would collect them as a healing modality to treat any eye ailments. Her symbols include moths because the "eye" patterns on their wings would be her way of watching over us, and pineapples because they are the fruit that bears many eyes. She was one of the first goddesses I ever created art for. She launched my fascination into Filipino mythology all because I read that she blesses people with eye moles/freckles, which I have on both of my eyes. Because of her, I was able to discover my gifts of channeling the deities, and I am forever grateful to her for helping me learn about this clair ability I have. In honor of her and the future deities, I now use art as my personal devotion to the gods.
