Angular Bottle Vases (Pair) - Wide & Tall
Two, medium-sized, rectangular bottle vases by Suvira McDonald from April 2026. In this pair of companion works - one wide, one tall - Suvira plays with his traditional bottle vase shape, producing vessels whose enclosed, rectangular forms sport multiple, organic "bottlenecks". They're both finished with a smooth base of soft green/grey, overlaid with dramatic, overlapping swathes of crackled glaze in hues of dark brown to light orange, with areas of dripping, melted ash - dramatic and ever-changing surfaces resulting from a three day wood-firing. These works function both as vases and as striking, stand-alone sculptural pieces. The artist would prefer them to form a pair, so this is a special price if both are purchased, however the wide and tall works can also be purchased individually if desired. wide vase height: 21.5cm width: 25.5cm depth: 12cm openings: 1 x 1.5cm (three) base: 12 x 26cm weight: 2.19kg tall vase height: 40cm width: 19cm depth: 7.5cm openings: 1.5 x 2cm (two) base: 9 x 19cm weight: 2.585kg Nb. this work is handmade so measurements are approximate.
