Known for producing reliable and well-engineered movements, Cyma gained prominence in the early 20th century with innovations such as the Cymaflex shock protection system, enhancing durability in everyday use. During World War II, Cyma was one of the twelve suppliers of the British military “Dirty Dozen” watches (WWW – Watch, Wrist, Waterproof), cementing its reputation for precision and toughness in harsh conditions. Throughout the 1940s–1960s, the brand produced a wide range of watches, from robust military pieces to elegant dress models and divers like the Navystar, often featuring high-quality in-house calibers.
