Vara Blanca is one of our direct trade relationship coffees coming from the Dota region in Costa Rica. With notes of Cherry, Plum and Chocolate, this lot is a great representation of the quality of coffee that Costa Rica can produce. This is our fifth year roasting Mario Marin’s honey lot and just like previous years, it does not disappoint. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to visit Mario at his farm and home 4 times and each time, he and his family have made it feel like a second home. The passion that Mario has put behind producing his coffees is inspiring to us at The Well and reminds us that good coffee doesn’t just come from a plant, but also from people.
