Tall, Solid & Heavy Amber Glass Bud / Flower Vase

The item is a vintage mid-century modern cylindrical art glass bud or flower vase. It features a minimalist aesthetic and distinct structural elements. The vase has a tall, slender, and straight-sided cylindrical form with a uniform width from top to bottom. The main chamber is crafted from translucent amber glass (with an olive-brown tint). The colour intensity naturally deepens toward the bottom of the pool. The lower section features a heavy, solid clear glass base. This technique creates a beautiful structural contrast against the coloured upper body. Suspended inside the solid clear glass base is a single, large controlled teardrop bubble (also known as a bullseye or controlled bubble effect), a classic signature of Scandinavian art glass makers like Riihimaki and Alsterfors.
