BWV 1009 (Cello Suite No. 3) arr. McFadden

The Six Cello Suites (BWV 1007–1012) were composed by Bach circa 1717–1723 during his employment at the court of Köthen, where instrumental music was a primary focus. Not published in his lifetime, the suites survived through manuscript copies before entering the standard repertoire in the late nineteenth century.This arrangement for solo guitar is by Jeffrey McFadden, Chair of Guitar Studies at the University of Toronto.
