Burgundy at this depth is a decisive colour, and the silk's high sheen gives it the kind of presence that stops short of being loud. The geometric keeps it structured; the ground gives it warmth. Each tie in The Vintage Collection is handmade in Italy, cut to our current silhouette. The construction and finish are identical to everything else we make. The difference is the cloth. HOW TO STYLE THIS TIE Burgundy pairs most naturally with navy, charcoal, and dark grey, the classic combinations that let a warm ground do its work without competition. A white shirt is the most reliable partner. It is also, in the right context, a very good tie for a grey flannel suit and a cream shirt, where the warmth of the ground and the warmth of the cloth reinforce one another.
