Hoya Eskimo - Wax Plant
Hoya Eskimo, also known as Hoya krohniana 'Eskimo', is a compact, trailing houseplant with thick, heart-shaped leaves dotted in silvery speckles. Its leaves have a bit of a metallic sheen, giving it a standout look even without flowers. Like most Hoyas, it prefers bright, indirect light and doesn't need constant watering—just let the soil dry out a bit between drinks. Over time, it may produce clusters of sweet-smelling, star-shaped flowers, but the foliage is really the main attraction. It’s a laid-back plant that doesn’t ask for much, making it great for beginners or anyone after something low-maintenance but eye-catching. Hoya Eskimo doesn't need humidity to thrive and grows best in well-draining soil. It actually prefers being a little root-bound, so you won’t need to repot it often. Given the right conditions, it’ll slowly trail and fill out, making a lovely addition to shelves, hanging pots, or plant walls.
