Olino | Mulberry Paper | Notebook
In northern Thailand grows a special tree: the Mulberry tree. What makes it special is that the bark of the tree can easily be peeled off after the rainy season after which it immediately grows back. This feature was discovered hundreds of years ago by the Karen tribe living in the far north of Thailand. Mulberry leaves are food for silkworms and the bark is the basis for Mulberry paper. The tree grows in the wild, but is also planted for the production of this beautiful paper.
