Because of the greater clearance required 2618 pistons can be noisy on start up but will go away when operating temperature is reached 4032 Alloy has a higher silicon content. Still a great forged piston for power applications but less forgiving to detonation. Because of the lower expansion rate you generally run a tighter clearances which generally makes for a quieter engine. Great for street performance engines and owners who are looking for OE quiet operation and still able to handle power add-ons.
