OAXACAN Alebrije IGUNA Wood Carving Mexico Folk Art Figure Sculpture

Large hand painted wood Iguana figure, made in Oaxaca, Mexico, traditionally known as Alebrije. Whimsical stylized iguana with brightly hand painted patterns including lightening bolts and stars. Measures 10 3/4" tall x 13" x 6" Sadly, one of the back talons has broke off, obvious in second photo. There is also one area where the paint has cracked, as photographed. Otherwise, looks great.
