65cm (25.6 inch) diameter hand-crafted globe using satellite imagery taken in November 2004. Finished with a gloss coating, this globe has over 3000 text labels of Countries, Settlements, Island, Regions and Oceans. We are proud to be one of the few companies in the world capable of making globes this large and have priced it at a fraction of others. This globe takes over a month to make requiring many hours of craftmanship. The 12 gores and North/South pole caps are applied by hand. Some seam lines, gaps, and small alignment issues are visible as seen in the product photos, great effort has gone into making these as small as possible. The sphere diameter is 65cm before sanding and adding the paper and varnish, so the exact diameter of the globe is 65cm +/- 4mm. This product includes a black plastic stand. The stand is four pieces which ship pre-assembled. The stand uses three high quality bearings allowing the globe to spin in all directions, a set of three is included and will be installed in the stand. The globe and stand will ship in separate boxes. Ships in 5 - 10 days.
