Alden x Rivay Roma Loafer in Chocolate Suede

This is our second collaboration with Alden, built on a new loafer shape they’ve developed exclusively for select make-ups like ours. We’re calling it the Roma because it feels right at home there - simple, refined and made for the long walk after dinner. The upper on the Roma is a rich chocolate suede - darker than snuff suede - with a depth that feels a little more dressed up without losing any ease. The shape is slightly more refined than Alden's Leisure Hand Sewn, with a cleaner line through the toe and a lower profile on foot. It’s the kind of shoe that works best with linen trousers, lightweight wool, or broken-in denim. Worn easy, not precious. Made by Alden in their Middleborough, Massachusetts factory using their time-tested construction and finished with the Rivay collaboration logo inside. Sizing recommendation: True to size / Size down 1/2 size The Roma Loafer is built on Alden's Aberdeen last, their narrowest last (and also the same last as Alden's Tassel Loafer). The Aberdeen is classic, characterized by a more pointed toe and a heel that hugs the foot. It's one of Alden's truest-to-size last.
