Martin (1927) 0-18 Acoustic Guitar - Natural w/HSC
There are few guitars with the history and warmth as this near-century old 1927 Martin 0-18. Pre-war Martin guitars are often considered the pinnacle of the vintage guitar world - and this is certainly no exception. With decades spent aging, the dry crystallization of the structures within the Sitka Spruce top sing out a resonance and breathiness that are unmatched and keep you coming back for more. That woody sustain is showcased in every note making this guitar perfect for finger-style and plucking and exhibits a perfect “glued together” sound when strummed. This beauty has seen some play, and with the exception of a repaired crack around the sides is in fantastic shape for a guitar of its age. Key Features: Nearly 100 years old Spruce & Mahogany Back and Sides Comes with Original Era Chipboard Case Specifications: Top Material: Spruce Body Material: Mahogany Neck Material: Mahogany Fingerboard Material: Ebony Neck Profile: "V" profile Neck Thickness (IN): .81" (1st fret), .99" (9th fret) Fingerboard Radius: 20.00" Nut Width: 1-13/16" Scale Length: 24 7/8" Electronics: None Weight: 2lbs 12oz Serial Number: 32665 Modifications/Repairs/Condition: This guitar has a crack that appears to have been cleated and stabilized running around the sides of the guitar. It likely has had a neck reset based on how nicely it plays and how much space is on the saddle. The guitar appears to have had a re-fret already as well as there is still some nice play left in the frets. Otherwise the guitar is in really great cosmetic condition especially considering it is approaching 100 years of age! Case Details: Chipboard Case
