The Curatif Advent Calendar – 12 cocktails of can'mas AD VENIRE. We have. We absolutely have. Advent and adventure both come from the original latin - ad venire - to arrive. And that's what we've done! After 7 years of being asked if we're going to do an advent calendar, we have finally arrived. Why so long? Would you believe that at the chaos factory we actually create so much chaos that planning almost a whole year in advance is unthinkable? Would you believe that at the very forge of chaos that every year in October we go "oh we should do an advent calendar" and then we work it out that it's too late and that we should have started in like February. And then in February it's Margarita Month so we're busy with Margarita stuff and then we miss print deadlines and we go "oh we'll do it next year for sure" and then next year comes around and you'll never guess what happens. BUT NOT THIS YEAR. AD VENIRE! We have arrived. Incredible design - once again Paul Theobald has outdone himself in every aspect of the consideration of the design, every meticulous, miniscule detail has been brought out to play. Brand lead Louise has spent countless hours specifying every finish, every cut, every fold and mold down to the very last detail. And the drinks: a collection of the most popular, most rare, most coveted, most delectable selection that could be offered. The result? A curation of Curatif that is the penultimate celebration of libation. A collection of cocktails that are designed to be be shaken, shared, and savoured. As Brad once said - What's in the box? Tommy’s Margarita: sharp, bright, agave-forward. Espresso Martini: rich, creamy, coffee upfront, chocolate on the finish. Pornstar Martini: vibrant, fruit-forward, zesty finish. Piña Colada: coconut cream, fresh pineapple, a blend of rums. Grapefruit Negroni: the negroni you have when you’re not having a negroni. Bramble: crisp, jammy blackberry, sharp lemon. Amaretto Sour: marzipan, stone fruit, vanilla, cut with tart lemon. Top Shelf Pearl Martini: briny, oceanic, savoury, velvety. Cosmopolitan: citrus vodka, dry curaçao, lime, a splash of cranberry. Sunshine State Gimlet: a sharp burst of lime against piney gin. Top Shelf Mai Tai: 1944 Oakland tiki, done properly. Boozy, bougie, indulgent. Peach Iced Tea: smooth black tea, juicy peach, clean finish. Let the advent-ure begin? We'd never be so lazy. Christmas venires but once a year, these boxes are limited. We've checked the list, we've checked it twice, and we don't care if you've been naughty, because our list is filled with drinks that are better than nice. The nut(cracker)s and bolts: - presale commences Tuesday 20th October - shipping commences Wednesday 4th November - sales will continue until sold out. Marketing thought the number of boxes we bought was ambitious because it sounded like a lot, Operations said we didn't buy enough and we didn't find out until a couple of weeks ago that they thought that, so buy now or miss out we guess. - these are available (in a super limited way!) in retail, message us for the details - these are not personalisable. You get what you get and you don't get upset (how could you they're delicious!) FAQS How we're enjoying the calendar? Well there's a few ways; we did put them in an order (left to right, top to bottom) that we thought was a good way to drink them (not all at once, but don't let us tell you how to live your life). BUT, here's a few others; - there's twelve cocktails, which is two dice (oh we should do dice next year!). Roll your dice pic something nice! - Mad Mouse - just get after it, who cares about order. Open a door and get on the dancefloor! - Blindfold - have a glass with ice ready, put your blindfold on, open the door and pour. You get what you get! We can't promote drinking games and never would, having said that though some people would suggest something like that. - The gift that you give to get back - "Oh hey, Merry Christmas I got you this.
