Tycos Anemometer
The Tycos Anemometer is an antique, mechanical vane-type air velocity meter—most famously the Model 3132 Biram-style anemometer—produced during the early-to-mid 20th century by the Taylor Instrument Company (often carrying the "Tycos" brand name). Unlike general weather station anemometers, these directional vane meters were built to measure linear air currents in confined spaces like mine shafts, ventilation ducts, and tunnels. To be frank, the Tycos Anemometer was a mechanical canary in the mine.
