What is Aramid? Aramid is the short term for aromatic polyamide. Aramid fibres are man-made synthetics, known for being heat resistant and especially strong. Originally designed for the US military, this is an extremely durable, high-performance material, so having a shear or scissor to tackle this material efficiently is very important! Intended use: Ideal for cutting aramid fibres, such as Kevlar, fibreglass, and carbon fibre.
