Blind Justice

Liberty, bought and gagged. The meaningThe Statue of Liberty stands blindfolded by a hundred-dollar bill, a pair of rope-bound hands clamped over her mouth. It is political satire in stark street-stencil blackwork: freedom that cannot see, cannot speak, and answers only to money. Heavy, confronting and impossible to look away from, it turns a national icon into an open question about who really holds the strings. The wide composition is built for the outer arm, the thigh or the back where it can breathe. For the ones who keep their eyes open and their mouth free when everyone else looks away. Size: 9x5 inches Best placement: outer arm, thigh, back, calf, chest Lasts up to 2 weeks
