Lightly rooted cutting of Hoya sp. Cianjur. Exact plant. Hoya sp. Cianjur (Splash) is an unidentified collector Hoya circulated under a locality name associated with Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. The plant develops small to medium-sized green leaves covered with irregular silver splash. Individual leaves can vary considerably, ranging from fine silver speckling to much heavier mottling and larger silver patches. On a mature vine, this creates a beautiful mix of darker green and highly silvered foliage. The “sp.” designation is important because this plant does not appear to have a confirmed species identification. Although plants from Cianjur are sometimes offered online under more specific Hoya names, we prefer to retain the locality-based name rather than assign it to a species without supporting documentation.
