Terracotta

Directly overhead at Borgo Pignano: two pitched roofs of weathered terracotta tile, a band of grey flagstone, a curve of lawn, and the turquoise shallow end of a pool running along the top edge. No horizon, no sky, no people. The tiles break into hundreds of small rectangles in ochre, rust and bleached pink, set against the rippled blue-green of the water. It's the most abstract frame in the series — closer to a textile than a landscape.Fine art giclée print on premium archival paper.
