Jahn’s Prairie Gooseberry
Ribes oxyacanthoides. Selected from the wild on the Canadian prairies and introduced in 1996, a rugged, compact variety bearing sweet-tart, pinkish-red berries of dessert quality. Heavy-bearing and self-fertile, with strong resistance to powdery mildew and other common Ribes diseases.
