Isabelle Taylor-Jones - Dantes Ceramics

Dantes Ceramics is a small independent pottery studio in Wivenhoe, set up by designer and ceramicist Isabelle Taylor-Jones. She specialises in functional, wheel-thrown pieces that reflect modern design whilst still incorporating traditional craft methods. Isabelle strives to create shapes that are aesthetically pleasing with the emphasis on simplicity. Working in both stoneware and porcelain clay bodies with natural glaze finishes often incorporating foraged shell and stone from the local Colne estuary and marshlands on the North Essex coast. From ceramic coffee pots, water pitchers to speckled bowls, Isabelle strives to make individual pieces that can be used and enjoyed everyday.
