Frequently Asked Questions Is it real stone? It's GFRC molded from real stone and hand-finished, at a fraction of the weight of solid rock. Do I need a pond? No. The boulder sits over a small buried basin that recirculates the water beneath pebbles. What about winter? In freezing climates, remove the pump and drain exposed plumbing before a hard freeze.
