A productive tomato variety valued for its attractive, richly coloured fruits and excellent flavour. Dorenia combines a pleasing balance of sweetness and acidity with a juicy texture, making it a versatile choice for fresh salads, sandwiches, and everyday cooking. With good growing conditions and consistent care, this variety can provide a generous harvest throughout the summer.Sowing: Start indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost in warm soil (21–27°C). Sow seeds 0.6 cm deep and keep evenly moist until germination. Once seedlings emerge, provide plenty of light to encourage strong, compact growth.Planting: Transplant in Greenhouse after all risk of frost has passed and nighttime temperatures remain above 10°C. Space plants 45–60 cm apart and provide suitable support with stakes or cages if required. Plant deeply, burying part of the stem, to encourage a strong root system.Harvesting: Harvest when fruits have developed their mature colour. For the best flavour, allow tomatoes to ripen fully on the plant. Pick regularly to encourage continued fruit production throughout the growing season.Fertility Recommendation: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with mature compost. Apply a balanced organic fertilizer at transplanting, then use a tomato fertilizer with higher potassium levels once flowering and fruiting begin.
