Sisters

Six faces, elongated and rendered in warm ochre and gold, press close together against a dense field of blue-green brushwork, each set of dark almond eyes and red-lipped mouth turned at its own quiet angle. Loose black and teal lines stand in for hair, blurring one face into the next until the group reads as a single continuous body of kinship. Low in the composition, a smaller rose-toned face rests against the others — a child folded into the embrace — grounding the painting's expressionist heat in something tender and specific.Sisters — an original work by Veronica Ruiz de Velasco.Authenticity & Terms.
