Mule Ear Abalone Shell Pocket Talisman
A small Mule Ear Abalone shell, about 2½ to 3½ inches long, with a rainbow of mother-of-pearl inside and a dark, natural back. Small enough to keep close as a pocket talisman. In Sacred Crystals' Teaching Abalone is closely connected to the Water element and the vibrations of Love, Beauty, Gentleness, Caring, Compassion and Peace. Though beautiful as is, it is also used in ceremony as a smudge pot for sage and Palo Santo. This little one carries that same gentle energy in a size you can hold. Keep it on your altar, at your bedside or in your pocket as a small reminder of water, softness and peace. Element: Water. What Makes This Piece Shell: Mule Ear Abalone (Haliotis asinina) Size: small, about 2½" to 3½" long Inside: iridescent mother-of-pearl in silver, green and pink Sold individually, you receive one About the Shell The Mule Ear is a tropical abalone from the warm waters of the Indo-Pacific, named for its long, ear-like shape. The row of holes along one edge are the openings the living abalone breathed through. The shimmer is nacre, the same material a pearl is made of: light playing between thin layers. Care Shell is soft. Keep it out of water and away from salt, perfume, lotion and household cleaners, and store it apart from harder stones. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Cleanse it with sage, sound or moonlight. A Note on Your Selection Every shell is natural, so colour, pattern and size vary from piece to piece. You will receive one shell similar to the ones pictured, chosen with care and intention by a Sacred Crystals caretaker. We trust the right piece will find its way to you.
