Ruby red in colour, this 2020 Chianti Campale has bright aromas of ripe red fruit: raspberry, strawberry and cherry. There are also some peppery notes, with whiffs of eucalyptus and rosemary. Medium-bodied, fine tannins on the mid palate, an integrated and pleasant acidity, and minerality. Producer: Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara Varietals: Sangiovese, Merlot Vinification/Ageing: Fermented with skin contact then aged about 12 months split between cement and used wood. Alcohol: 14.5%
