This gives the suspension additional structural support, especially useful for longer/heavier microphones. If using softer hoops, it allows great compliance whilst preventing the suspension from swaying too much. This becomes all the more important when mics are being used in the Mini-ALTO - so the mic does not strike the inside of the basket. Made in the UK
