Rare Tawny Grenache n/v Batch #2 500mL

Some of Barossa's rarest fortified wines are hidden away in old Port sheds, handed down through the generations, waiting for the day that they may be shared amongst family & friends. It gives me immense pleasure to offer one of these Rare Barossan Tawnys. Made from Grenache, Shiraz & 15 other varieties at least... some picked more than 80 years ago and then barrel aged in one such old Port shed. Deep copper with green highlights. Luscious buttery caramel, lingering acidity and then long, nutty, rancio flavours. Try with ice cream, dried fruit or cheeses. As a barrel matured tawny, it can be enjoyed for some weeks after opening. Batch #2 is limited to 1,500 individually numbered 500mL bottles. Unfined & unfiltered. Welcome to my Port Shed.
