Faraday Box for Car Keys — Family Size, Holds 5–6 Fobs
A rigid, PU-leather Faraday box sized for a whole household's keys — it holds roughly 5–6 car key fobs, or up to 3 phones. Drop your fobs in when you get home and the shielded lining blocks the keyless-entry signal, so it can't be picked up and relayed to your car from outside. Why a Box Rather Than a Pouch Most relay thefts happen overnight, from keys left near the front door. A box lives on the hall table and takes one hand — no zip, no fiddling — which is why people actually keep using it. A pouch is the better choice for carrying a single fob out with you; a box is the better choice for the whole family at home. Details Exterior: PU leather · Interior: shielding lining Capacity: ~5–6 key fobs, or up to 3 phones Closure: single-lock lid No batteries, no setup — the shielding is passive Test It in 30 Seconds Put your fob inside, close the lid, stand about a metre from the car and try the handle and the unlock button. No response means the box is doing its job. Re-test occasionally — and every time you change how full it is. Honest Notes Shielding works only with the lid fully closed. A lid left ajar is not a Faraday box. This addresses relay attacks specifically. It doesn't stop OBD-port attacks, key cloning or towing. If your car uses UWB keyless entry, relay attacks were already ineffective against it in independent testing — see our UWB guide before buying.
