Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician (Enrolment from Sept 2026)

This is the final level of the AAT qualification. The level includes 5 compulsory units Management Accounting Financial Accounting Principles of Taxation Audit and Internal Controls Advanced Business Awareness When will I be able to start this qualification? You can register with the AAT for this qualification from 1 September 2026. Our courses are available to book now and will commence in September 2026. How will I cope with level 4? To start level 4 students must have either completed the level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting or have equivalent academic qualifications. We can advise you on an individual basis whether starting at level 4 is the right decision for you. Level 4 is a natural progression following the completion of the Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Level 3 Bookkeeping. You could also start straight at level 4 with suitable experience or other academic qualifications, which we can discuss this with you on an individual basis ensuring your starting point is right for you. Following a period of quality control checks by AAT, results are provided within 24hours. Unlike previous level 4 qualifications, there are no human marked tasks within the exams. How long will it take? Students should allow around 12 months to complete the level. This depends on the frequency of studies. These courses are available as either a classroom or online course. I’m currently studying under the Q2022, can I study these? Unless you transfer to the new qualification, you will not need to study these units. Q2022 qualification is examinable until 31 July 2028 therefore transferring to the new qualification is possible, but not necessary.
