Pearl Ray Luzier Signature Snare Drum
A Snare Drum that Korn can Chew On VERY LIMITED! A seriously rare Pearl Artist Custom Project allegedly built for Korn’s Ray Luzier has surfaced—and it appears to push the Free Floating platform far beyond its standard production-spec formula. This 14" × 6.5" copper snare has a 1.5 mm shell with a blacked-out Free Floating chassis, MasterCast die-cast hoops, and an SR-1000 Glide-Lock strainer conversion. Pearl’s SR-1000 is designed with locking throw-off and tension-adjustment mechanisms intended to prevent settings from backing off during hard playing—an especially sensible upgrade for a player known for powerful rimshots. Featires SR-1000 Glide-Lock strainer: A Free Floating chassis reportedly machined to accept Pearl’s high-end Glide-Lock system, delivering a more secure, precise snare engagement. 1.5 mm copper shell: A substantial step up from the commonly seen 1.2 mm copper construction, promising greater mass, projection, and a deeper low-mid response. All-black hardware: Black Free Floating chassis components and MasterCast die-cast hoops give the drum a stealth, purpose-built look while the heavy hoops should contribute to a focused, controlled attack. 14" × 6.5" format: A classic high-impact depth for aggressive rock, metal, and studio tracking—enough body to sound huge without sacrificing crack.
