2024 'sans—' Sangiovese/Syrah.

FARM Organic fruit from Toolamba (Yorta Yorta Country). The last harvest before the vineyard was ripped out. GRAPES 70% Sangiovese + 30% Syrah. Wild fermented. Zero additions. Zero sulphur. Unfined. Unfiltered. 13% Alc/vol. FIELD Wild fermented — Sangiovese in stainless steel, Syrah in the open air — then barrel-aged for two years. Hand-bottled by gravity. TASTING Freshly cut strawberries, boysenberries and raspberries in a bowl with cream on the nose. Uber cherry-jam palate, with some just-ripe plum, finishing both bright and savoury with gentle spice and very inviting grip. DRINKING NOTE Give this one a bit of time to open up when you first pop the cork. It'll head towards cherry town. And cherry town is a very fun town. Label art by Matt Purbrick.
