The Ardnamurchan dram, made and matured on-site, reflects the distillery’s location, renowned for its wild landscapes and untamed character. Ardnamurchan embrace heritage, innovation and sustainable practices, from traditional double distillation to blockchain technology. All the power and heat requirements for the distillery come from local renewables and the by-products are recycled on the peninsula. Ardnamurchan's bottle is one of the lightest in the industry; it is produced using over 50% recycled clear glass. Scan the QR codes on the back of each bottle to see transparent detail about production methods etc, even including the entire cask recipe for each batch. This first ever AD/ Tokaji Cask Release was made with 100% unpeated spirit matured in a combination of 28 Bourbon barrels re-racked in Tokaji casks directly sourced from Hungary. Nose: Fresh pear and green apples, bamboo, cornflakes, sandalwood, sour apple sweets, baked banana. Bright combination of floral & funky. Palate: Sugared almonds, nashi pear, sweet & salty popcorn, white pepper & mace, lemon pith, candied ginger, rose petals and pine wood. Finish: Saline, spicy, balanced.
