Today, the workshop is led by 25th-generation Chasen Master Yasaburo Tanimura and his son, 26th-generation Chasen Master Keiichiro Tanimura. As one of only 14 traditional chasen makers remaining in Japan, SUIKAEN produces approximately 4,000 handcrafted chasen each year. Matsu Matcha is deeply honoured to welcome Kay-san and Yumi-san from SUIKAEN to Singapore for their 2nd event, offering a rare opportunity to meet the artisans behind this enduring craft.
