Grassroots Classic Bottomless Pot 1 Gallon / 3.8L is a specialist fabric planting sleeve designed for establishing young plants before placing them directly onto a living soil bed, allowing the roots to grow through the open base into the larger soil volume below. Unlike a normal plant pot, the Grassroots Bottomless Pot has no fabric base. During propagation or early growth, the pot is placed on a saucer or tray to contain the growing medium. Once the plant has developed a strong root system, the complete pot can be moved directly onto the surface of a living soil bed without removing the root ball from its container. A bottomless pot is essentially a fabric sleeve rather than a conventional container. How to use the Grassroots Bottomless Pot Place the pot on a tray: because the sleeve has no bottom, use a suitable plastic saucer, tray or other flat support underneath it. Add your growing medium: fill the 3.8L sleeve with an appropriate propagation or young-plant growing medium. Plant your cutting or seedling: establish the plant in the sleeve as you would in a normal small container.
