They operate the farm as a family collective; spouses, children and siblings all participate in coffee cultivation and processing, passing down decades of expertise across generations. In 2009, the farm claimed first place in a quality competition hosted by the COORPOL Cooperative, marking a pivotal turning point for their focus on specialty coffee. Since then, the family has continuously invested in refining processing techniques and quality control, aiming to let every harvest faithfully express the terroir, traditions and the family’s passion for coffee. This coffee took 4th place in the Washed & Honey Category of the 2025 Brazil Cup of Excellence. Produced via honey processing: coffee cherries are depulped while retaining part of the mucilage, then slowly dried inside greenhouse drying patios. The stable environment allows sweetness and flavour complexity to develop fully. Careful processing delivers a notably rounded mouthfeel and abundant sugar notes. It embodies the farm’s years of technical refinement and helped this lot stand out in Brazil’s most prestigious coffee competition. The variety used is Arara, a natural hybrid of Yellow Catuai and Obatã, well-known for rich sweetness, clean and consistent flavour profiles.
