Des Sens

Des Sens is a textured white wine from Roussillon, made from a blend of Macabeo, White Grenache, Garnacha Gris and Carignan. The grapes are directly pressed, then different parts of the wine are aged in large wooden casks, concrete and oak barrels, which gives the wine more depth without making it feel heavy. In the glass, it brings notes of lemon zest, pear, quince and pink grapefruit, with touches of honeysuckle, herbs and biscuit. The palate has ripe yellow fruit, fresh acidity, a light salty edge and a gentle grip that makes it a good choice for food. Try it with grilled fish, roast chicken, creamy vegetable dishes or hard cheeses.
