Vardanis / Bogart – 4-Piece 8'0" 6wt, FE Thomas Clone

Description Particulars For your consideration is an Alex Vardanis bamboo rod based on an F.E. Thomas model from 1935 built on a Terry Bogart blank. This is an 8' 0" four-piece for a 6 weight line weighing 4.70 ounces on my scale. This rod consists of medium tempered cane with burnt orange wraps tipped with a pale honey. The 5 1/2" grip is followed by a well modeled long grain spacer of what appears to be cedar which blends handsomely with the cane and wraps. In my hand, the action is medium-fast.
